Crowded teeth in young person - no treatment

Initial Records

This 10 year 2 months old boy had an upper midline diastema (gap); crowding of his teeth and a crossbite of the baby teeth on the left side.  He was monitored only to ensure his dental development progressed OK.  Crossbites of deciduous (baby) teeth often self-correct when they fall out and their adult successor teeth erupt.  Crossbites of adult teeth generally do not self-correct and should be treated as early as possible (7 to 9 years of age).

Final Records

These photos have been taken 2 ½ years after the initial photos.  There has been no active intervention.  Dental development has progressed well and treatment is not necessary.
